Φόρος τιμής από τον Justin Timberlake στον Bill Withers

Συγκινητική ήταν η ανάρτηση του Justin Timberlake στον λογαριασμό του στο Instagram με την οποία απότισε φόρο τιμής στον θρυλικό τραγουδιστή της σόουλ Bill Withers που έφυγε από τη ζωή σε ηλικία 81 χρονών την περασμένη Παρασκευή. Ο Justin είπε ότι ο Withers ήταν γι’ αυτόν, «ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα είδωλά μου». Εδώ και πολύ καιρό έχει εκφράσει την αγάπη του για τη μουσική του Withers και στο παρελθόν είχε παραδεχθεί πως πηγή έμπνευσης για τη δική του επιτυχία, το «Can’t Stop the Feeling», ήταν το κλασικό «Lovely Day» του Bill Withers.

«Μού ‘μαθες τόσα πολλά για το πώς να το κρατάω απλό και αληθινό. Ένιωθα τόσο μεγάλη συγγένεια με σένα ακόμη και πριν σε γνωρίσω» έγραψε στην ανάρτησή του ο Timberlake. «Τα λόγια σου κι οι μελωδίες σου… οι συγχορδίες που τα συνόδευαν… μπήκανε μέσα στην ψυχή μου και μου μίλησαν τόσο βαθιά. Αυτό είναι που έκανε η μουσική σου. Έφερε τόσους από μας κοντύτερα σε σένα και μας έφερε όλους πιο κοντά».
